Kia Ora Whānau,

I started working at Waitoki School in 2014 as a beginning teacher and love it here.  I've seen our kura go through many changes and believe we are currently in a great place under the guidance of our tumuaki, Jules McCourt.  Prior to joining the team at Waitoki I studied a Bachelor of Education (Primary Specialisation) at the University of Auckland. I also have a passion for 21st Century learning and have my Postgrad in Applied Practice (Digital and Collaborative Learning).  In 2024 I begin a new leadership journey as the Learning Support Coordinator (LSC).  

I enjoy teaching all aspects of the curriculum and have a particular interest in Literacy, ICT and PE & Health especially Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC).  I have been involved in the William Pike Challenge for our Year 7 & 8's over the last four years and have enjoyed seeing our tamariki get outside their comfort zones. I am currently our sports coordinator at Waitoki School and enjoy seeing our students push the limits in the Kaipara sporting events, being the ‘best they can be!’
When I’m not at school I enjoy spending quality time with my whānau and reading.
