International Students at Waitoki School

Kia ora and welcome to Waitoki!

From 2027, Waitoki School plans to welcome international students into our small, friendly rural school community.

Located north of Auckland, Waitoki offers a welcoming environment where children can learn, grow and experience life at a New Zealand school. As a small rural community, we value strong relationships, individual learning and creating a place where every child feels they belong.

Why choose Waitoki School?

A close-knit school community

We take pride in knowing our students as individuals and creating an environment where they feel supported, included and encouraged to give things a go.

Learning with extra support

International students will learn in mainstream classrooms alongside their peers, taking part in everyday classroom learning. Our dedicated ESOL teacher will provide additional English language support to help students develop their skills and confidence.

Experience Kiwi school life

From sports, arts and kapa haka to school camps, our gardens, chickens and much-loved Ag Day and Country Fair, students can get involved in a variety of activities, make new friends and experience the fun of life at a New Zealand rural school.

Our GOAT values

GRIT, Ownership, Aroha and Teamwork are at the heart of our school. These values encourage students to challenge themselves, take responsibility, care for others and work together.
