Kia Ora,

I have been teaching since 2008 when I graduated from Auckland University. I have taught all age groups from New Entrants through to Year 6. I started here at Waitoki School in 2018 in a part-time teaching role. I loved it so much that I soon began teaching full time again. I have a passion for Literacy, Visual Arts, and Play Based Learning. I feel it is important that all our tamariki make the transition from preschool/home to school as seamlessly as possible. The new entrant children are so eager to learn, they soak up new knowledge so quickly and that’s what I love about them.

I enjoy interacting, observing and helping children learn social skills through play and being able to capture those special teachable moments along the way.

I am married to Carl and we live in Red Beach. We have three adult children, two sons and a daughter. As a family, we love camping, fishing and four-wheel driving. I look forward to meeting you and your whanau.
