I am extremely honoured to play  such a special part in the learning journeys for our tamariki, at our amazing Waitoki School. I began teaching here in 2020 after returning back to the classroom from being a stay-at-home mum to my three cheeky boys. I am an experienced teacher who has taught across all year levels in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom since 2000.

In my classroom I constantly strive to nurture and encourage the lifelong learning of my students. I hope to prompt children to think creatively and ask questions, through hands on experiences and classroom discussion. Although I love teaching all aspects of the New Zealand Curriculum my passions are in literacy, arts and environmental education and I aim to foster a learning environment that allows all my children to discover their own passions in learning too.

When I’m not teaching you will find me spending time with my treasured whanau and friends, baking, dancing and having fun!
