Hello parents/caregivers,

The Silverdale Junior Schools Touch season is starting in Term 4, so we’re opening registrations now to start getting our 2025 teams together. Touch is on offer for students in Year 0 - Year 8.
**Please note all future comms will be posted in the 'Touch' group in Skool Loop. If you have not subscribed to this group, please do so. Touch is an extra-curricular activity, and therefore requires payment to play, and parents will be responsible for transporting their child to and from the games. 

Days & Times: 
Games will start in Term 4 on Wednesday 22nd October, and will continue every Wednesday for 8 weeks until 10th December. Games will be played at the Silverdale Rugby Club in Silverdale
Game times will be as follows (and run for 15 minutes each way - 30 minutes in total):
4pm: Year 0-2 
4pm and 4:30pm: Year 3/4 
4.30pm / 5:05pm: Year 5/6 Boys & Year 5&6 Girls separate teams
5:05 pm & 5:40 pm Year 7/8 Boys & Year 7&8 Girls separate teams

Fees: 
$55 per player or Team Fee of $320 depending on how many in each team. Fees will be required once we have all students registered. Please do not pay fees until you are sent this information after registrations close. Teams: Please be aware that in order to have viable teams, we need a coach and a manager and a minimum number of players per team, each team can have a minimum of 6 players and no more than 8 players. Uniform: The children need to wear our school T-shirt, black shorts, and touch or sports shoes (closed shoes must be worn, and no metal stud boots.)
Coaches:
As always, to enable our children to play we need help from our wonderful parent community to assist with coaching and/or managing teams. As a coach, you will be there to lead regular practices, attend games and encourage our students. As a manager, you will be the liaison for your team and make sure everything runs smoothly. They are incredibly rewarding roles! Please let us know if you can help by entering your interest on the form in Skool Loop permissions.
If your child is interested in playing, please can you also head into Skool Loop permissions and sign the permission slip. Registrations close Monday 15th September. We will then compile teams and find any extras if needed then to fill teams.

Kia ora,

We are so excited to open the Lamb & Goat Daycare for another year! Please head to forms and complete the registration when you intend for your child to enrol their lamb or goat in the Lamb & Goat Daycare in Term 3 and/or 4.

It is important that you read the rules attached to the form and explain the rules to your child.

This is very important for the health and safety of your child's own lamb or goat, and also the other students' animals using the daycare.

By signing the form you understand that the school is providing a contained area, shelter and supervision of feeding but cannot be held responsible for the general health of your animal.

Please make up your feed bottles with powder and water marking "cold feed" or "warm Feed" . If warm feed leave out 50ml of water and we will top up with hot water at feed time. Please name the bottles.
